I just kathlefn to add something that I really should have mentioned in my earlier comment. Stomach churning is intense. The writer shows that the characters both Amber and Bruce are not entirely appallingly malicious and malevolent.
Surprising that Winsor either ignored the concept of birth control or made a conscience choice for the character not to use it. He requires her cash; she requires the word ‘countess’ in front of her name. After he leaves, she finds she is pregnant and the saga really begins.
