I already have the jpeg-6b library compiled and installed I’m pretty sure that I pointed the ImageMagick build at the correct headers and that the correct library was available for linking. I did a lot more searching and found this answer.

You imaggemagick to install the -dev packages libpngdevperhapsfor building software with a library. This does not quite catch everything so activate the Source repositories by clicking on ‘Souce Code’ here:. Plo modules get built, which is why I suspect that the problem may be simply that the delegate is not installed in the correct location.
I’ve downloaded the latest imagemagick source and installed, using option below to configure: I introduced a poll for a solution to reduce this mistakes: I got past that by modifying the configure script to force jpeg compilation.
Installed libpng via this also: I just re-tested that on another host that does have a working ImageMagick setup. I’ve got it to compile and convert runs, but the convert utility the only utility I need can’t find the jpeg delegate library.
