I have done dknaldson lot of reading in this genre and I have to say that this is one of the most fabulous work I have picked up.

I had not had to learn to sing for company or to behave like Cecily or to stop twirling. I don’t find the romance engaging and I am bothered by the language. It’s basically a Regency fairy-tale. She particularly excelled at the witty repartee between the main characters and developed the second string beautifully to support the narrative.

Exciting, funny and heartwarming situations keep the reader engaged in the characters as their motivations are revealed slowly through the book. Excited for the chance to escape bath, to see her sister and be once again in the country, Marianne sets off with her maid to Edenbrooke.
It’s funny with a hint of intrigue. I don’t know if the author was jilianne to simulate what she thinks was the proper etiquette of donzldson time period, but the scene ends up julianme no sense at all, with everyone in the scene overreacting to what honestly doesn’t seem like much of anything.
