After having finally figured out how to use this with furigana in example sentences and the like, I keep forgetting to post sdd information here. Changing the note type of the cards in question to a vanilla “Japanese support ” fixed it. Now I need an as robust solution as that to use with Google Chrome.
Use furigana if you think they won’t understand your kanji usage. Like the comments say, the author needs to adjust the plugin somewhat to allow users to use different note types and field names.
